  14.    I just got a Practical Peripheral 28800 PM288MT II v.34 modem. I'm trying 
  15. to set it up but I'm having problems. According to the manual, I should be 
  16. able to do a AT&f1 to set it up for the standard PC defaults. Each time I do 
  17. this however I get an ERROR back not OK. This is the same for the other 
  18. factory defaults except for 0. Digging a bit further I found that ati3 should 
  19. return the firmware version in the format of:

  23. However, what I see is

  27. ATi6 (session stats) is another command which returns an ERROR.

  29. I have a PPI 14400 which works correctly with the above commands. Has anyone 
  30. seen this with a PM288MT modem? Do I have a modem which the incorrect 
  31. firmware? I have got the modem working using the string AT&f&c1&d2&k3 but it 
  32. seems strange if I'm missing some commands.
